Real Montana Weddings
As the year comes to an end I love to look at back at some our favorite jobs. We have just added some Real Montana Weddings to Montana Wedding Guide. Cindy made these wonderful collages that I think really sum up each of the weddings. I had blogged about two of these weddings before but I wanted to make sure you saw these great collages. The weddings incorporate so many unique things that are truly indicative of what it is like to be in Montana.
Every Montana Bride should have the following: a dog in the wedding and a really beautiful cool old car or truck. When Beth told me she was being driven to the site by her dad in a vintage truck I knew exactly what I wanted to do with the photos. I love the open field that wedding ceremony was held in. There is something so majestic about having a wedding in Montana in an open field surrounded by our wonderful mountains.
Audrey is an old friend and a great Montana Photographer. She gave gifts of her famous horse photos to all of the guests. Keegan Nashan, the photographer, chose to do the photos in front of the great old barns. I love the texture and warm colors that work so well with the bridesmaids dresses. I also love the beautiful next cake that Audrey and Todd's friend made for them. And of course the vintage car and dog make it the quintessential Montana Wedding.
The double wedding in Whitefish, Montana. I am certain this will be the one and only time I photograph a double Montana Wedding where two brothers marry two sisters. I love the portraits in the fishing boats because the brothers and avid fisherman. We have world renouned fishing in our state and I love the whimsical feel of the boat on land. ( I really wanted to do the portraits in the water but didn't have the courage to take it that far.) I also love the portraits of the wedding party in front of the hay barn. The large sprawling tent is also a necessity while planning your wedding in Montana. Our summers are wonderful, but you never know when it will drop t freezing temperatures so you absolutely need a tent if you are planning an outdoor wedding.
