Katie and Chris’ Wedding in Butter
Katie had a clear idea of what her wedding would be like. A simple wedding with their closest friends and family. Her grandparents home has a little stand of aspens that made a perfect private yard for the ceremony. She placed a few paper balloons on the aspen branches and had the white wooden chairs close off the area to make it an intimate location for their ceremony. Her uncle walked her down the aisle and each of the family members had a designated seat. She and Chris simplified the wedding even more by having one attendant each. Smade the signs that directed the guests to the ceremony and reception. She also made little ‘love’ bags for each of her guests. Her niece, grandmother and a few other family members helped to make the wedding a completely do it yourself wedding. Everything was made by a family member including the cake, decorations, table clothes and food. The only things that were hired out were the flowers, chair and table rentals and photography.

A very simple and affordable way to make centerpieces….
The flowers brought the color of the paper balloons out..
her last FB entry as a single woman.
A beautiful ring shot on her grandparents antique book…
The couple right after the ceremony. The best time for super candid photos….
A little twist of Jose Villa’s classic sox shot…
The bride and bridesmaids’ shoes with the sign she made….
This is a great example of a DIY wedding that is simple and easy.
